Training My Mind

Training My Mind

Training My Mind

I have relentlessly trained my body through the years.

Being disciplined has always been a strength of mine.

Eating a vegan diet, it’s all good.

I simply made a choice one day to stop eating animal products.

That’s that.

Getting to the gym every day, no problem.

It’s just what I do.

But one area that has been an ongoing struggle for me is my thoughts.

I have heard this scripture before a thousand times.

“Be careful what you think because your thoughts run your life.” -Proverbs 4:23

It’s starting to sink in.

I am feeling the shift.

Why think thoughts that make me feel bad?

How about thinking thoughts that make me feel good?

So simple.

Past conditioning is real.

Habitual thinking that is unhealthy gets hardwired into our brain.

It takes time and effort to turn the ship around.

But it’s shifting for me.

It starts with how I see myself.

My Self-concept.

If I see myself as limited I will live a limited life.

If I see myself as lacking, I will struggle with abundance.

I am training my mind like never before.

I am training my mind to not let any thoughts slip by that cause me to go negative.

My energy is better.

I feel the power within.

I am seeing my life shift based on how I am thinking and feeling.

It starts with the discipline of training my mind.

Not only in my meditation, but throughout the day.

That is the work that I am doing.

That is the shift I am making.

I am investing my energy in feeling good by the way I think.

Sounds simple, but the world can get in the way if I allow it.

I have to continually ask myself this question, “What is my truth?’

I don’t have to believe every thought that pops into my head.

That would make me a madman.

And yes there are times I have felt that way.

It’s a radical shift.

I am finding my inner power by changing my thoughts.

I am disciplining my mind by training my mind.

It doesn’t happen by accident.

Mindset is everything.

This is the commitment I have made to myself.

I am taking full responsibility for what I think and how I show up in the world.

I am the sovereign king of my life.

No one to blame but me.

I am the creator of my life.

Another gentle reminder, be careful what you think because your thoughts run your life.

I am choosing to think unlimited thoughts.

Think it.

Feel it.

Be it.
