3 Reasons Why I Love to Practice Qi Gong

Qi Gong

Qi Gong is the skill of working with energy. It’s the art of effortless power, mirroring the movement of nature. It originated 4,000 years ago in China.

It’s a powerful practice that helps us to increase our energy and reduce our stress.

We are energy, that is why I train my energy body through the Eastern bioenergetic practice of Qi Gong daily.

I Feel Empowered

I have learned the hard way that most of life is out of my control. At least the external circumstances are. Trying to control people and circumstances is fruitless.

There is no power in our external world, yet that is where most of us spend our time and energy, trying to control the uncontrollable.

Through the practice of Qi Gong, I have learned that the power is within myself. Where we have power is in our internal energy. I am less reactive to external circumstances that are outside of my control.

We have the power to circulate energy within ourselves. We can relax and let go when external circumstances are out of our control.

I am empowered knowing that no matter what, I can stay in my power by looking within. Giving my power away is a choice that I don’t have to make.

Ultimately, I can choose how I want to respond to any situation. True power is cultivated by recognizing our inner power.

Transform Stress Into Positive Energy

It’s hard to describe Qi Gong. I believe it is something you have to experience for yourself. The best way I can describe the practice is that it is a way of moving with nature that always makes me feel good.

Up to 90% of doctors visits are due to self-imposed stress because of the lifestyle we are living. We haven’t learned or have been taught how to deal with stress in a healthy way.

The practice of Qi Gong has taught me how to deal with my negative emotions. I have learned the skill of purging negative energy and cultivating positive energy in my body.

When I feel sad, I can work with that emotion by being with it and ultimately transforming it into inspiration. When I feel fear, I can let go of that emotion by turning my fear into inner peace and tranquility.

I am in control of the way I feel.

The more I practice Qi Gong, the more skillful I get at transforming my stress from the day into positive energy. Qi Gong is a practice of preventative medicine healing through pleasure. It just feels good.

Sense of Aliveness

Qi is aliveness. It’s our breath It’s energy. It’s invisible. I have been very body focused over the course of my lifetime, not paying much attention to what is happening on my inside.

My motto was, “It is better to look good than to feel good.” That was my truth. I would spend hours in the gym determined to look good leaving my body ravaged with inflammation.

I looked like the picture of health on the outside while my body felt broken on the inside.

I have let that motto go. I still take care of my body, it’s just with a different perspective.

I treat my body with loving kindness, recognizing that I am an energetic spiritual being living in a physical body.

I live as an integrated whole taking care of my Spirit, mind and body with a sense of aliveness and vitality that comes from focusing on elevating my energy.

It is fun and enjoyable to move in a way that I don’t feel beat up after a workout.
