Personal Internal Commitment

Troytattoo2.jpg

In this podcast I share my story of what led me to get my first tattoo. It’s a personal internal commitment to myself that I will live my life boldly and with courage. It’s a commitment to myself that I am willing to get out of my comfort zone so I can make a difference in the world that I am called to make. That I am willing to show up big and not shrink back.

Challenging vs. Hard

Does life really have to be so “hard?”  Does it always have to be a struggle?  It seems in my own personal and professional life I have become really good at making things hard.   I have always been hard on myself.  I have always demanded perfectionism of myself and when I don’t live up to my own expectations I beat myself up mentally and yes sometimes even physically.  Damn, that’s a hard way to live life, no pun intended.  This podcast will show us a new possibility of looking at life.  It doesn't always have to be hard and a struggle.  Sometimes we just forget to have fun and laugh.

A New Possibility for Church

In this episode of the Spiritual Warriors Unite podcast I invite a new possibility of a way of seeing church.  Church isn’t just a place to go to check the box for our Christian duty.  It’s a place where we come alive and our dreams, purpose and passion are born and realized.  It’s a place where we can be authentic, vulnerable and share our story.   It’s where we are seen and heard.  It’s where deep community is formed.  It’s where we go to become who God created us to be so we can go out and change the world.  To me this is church.

In RUN THE RACE, two desperate brothers sacrifice today for a better tomorrow.

Reeling from his mother’s death and his father’s abandonment, Zach, an All-State athlete, finds glory on the football field, working to earn a college scholarship and the brothers’ ticket out of town.

When a devastating injury puts Zach—and his dreams—on the sidelines, David laces up his track cleats to salvage their future and point Zach toward hope.

In theaters February 22nd, RUN THE RACE shows what’s possible when you run to—instead of from—the overwhelming love of God.

In this episode I interview Erinn J. Campton.  She is the author of the newly released book "A Love so Mighty:  A true Story of God's Transforming Presence.  Erinn has written elaborate tales since the first time her mother handed her a crayon. She walked with Jesus even before then and could not imagine a life apart from Him. Her best days are spent in a cuddle pile with a little boy and three semi-naughty canines while her soulmate is nearby tinkering in his garage. Born and raised in Northern Colorado, she is closest to our Lord when sitting on a mountain beside a river with a cup of coffee in one hand and a book in the other.

Increase Your Energy and Change the World

In this episode I discuss how we can increase our energy level by changing our internal state of being.  When we go from being stuck in negative emotions to living from a place of joy, gratitude and appreciation our energy level and outlook on life improves dramatically.  The only way to change our life and the world around us is to change our energy.

The Man in the Arena (Getting his Butt Kicked a Little)

In this podcast I talk about my recent experiences of getting my butt kicked while getting in the arena.  My fear of failure and fear of truly being seen.

The classic quote from Theodore Roosevelt challenges us to dare greatly to get in the arena while embracing risk and failure.

God asks us to take great risks for Him.  Moses didn't feel he was qualified to fulfill the mission God asked him to do, just as I don't feel qualified for the mission God is asking me to do.  But in my weakness, God's strength will shine through.
